In 2020 Juan Valdez Café opened a new store in one of the most emblematic touristic areas of Bogota, Colombia. Therefore, the experience of this coffee shop had to be exceptional. The company needed a place in which people could not only drink coffee, but additionally learn about the Colombian coffee culture and live a memorable experience.

To create a comprehensive diagnosis of the ideal customer journey at Juan Valdez coffee shops, we conducted a thorough analysis of over 50 locations in seven principal cities. We also benchmarked other premium coffee shops around the world and conducted workshops and interviews with more than 300 employees and customers. Using this data, we created a customer journey map to better understand and optimize the experience of Juan Valdez's clients.
